Νίκην σοὶ φαίνουσι θεοὶ δἰ ὁδοῖο ςτενύγοων,
Victoriam tibi ostendunt Dii per viam angustiarum humidarum.
Quod cum is interpretaretur de Isthmo Corinthiaco, per illum aggressus Peloponnesios, in pugna occubuit, Euseb. Praepar. l. 1. c. 20. Pater Temeni, Cresphontis et Aristodemi, qui demum intellexerunt τρίτον καρπὸν, tertium fructum, in oraculo Hyllo dato, non γῆς, terrae, sive triennium, sed γενεὰς, generationes tres: et ςτενύγοην in altero Oraculo, non Isthmum Corinthiacum, sed fretum illud esse, inter Rhium et Antiochium, quod Aetolos dirimit a Peloponneso.
